The bending and steepy road from the Spluga Pass

This page, and the next one (New Campodolcino), is meant for all those who, in some way, are connected with Valchiavenna, particularly with Campodolcino and val S. Giacomo. We think of people living in Genoa (Wisconsin) and the offsprings of the early settlers, spread across the States: Francoli, Trussoni, Fanetti, Gianoli, Ghelfi, Gianera, Vener, Della Morte, Buzzetti, Sterlocchi, Guanella, to name some of them.
Besides some old real photographs, the showed pictures come from old prints featuring what the scenary was like in the past.
